Hi, I’m Nikki Key and you’re watching the Daily Idea.

Today is March 17, which means it is St. Patrick’s Day! And all the crew here at the Daily Idea is going out to an authentic Irish pub to celebrate. Since we are running late already, we decided to turn over today’s episode to a man who claims he is as Irish as they come…Lil’ Mackey.

LIL MACKEY:
Yo! Top o’ the mornin’ to ya, Nikki. You as fresh and clean as some Irish Spring, girl. Oh wee. Anyways, I’m yo’ boy, Lil’ Mackey fixin’ to tell ya’ about the holiday that celebrates my peoples – St. Paddy’s Day. That’s right, son. I’m Irish-American. And of course I gots my green on cuz I ain’t tryin’ to get pinched.

So today I’m ‘bout to drop some serious knowledge on all y’all. You probably like Mary J. Blige and asking, “What’s the 411?” So in giving props to my boy,

St. Patrick, we gonna honor some of the greatest Irish-Americans of all-time. Now, you proally thinking I’m gonna be naming people like JFK or Henry Ford or Bono. Aw nah. That’s played out.

Today you getting’ Lil’ Mackey’s Top 4 Irish-Americans of All-Time, Son. Roll my graphic.

Why Top 4? Cuz’ Lil’ Mackey said so, believe dat.

Numero one (close up of face). Michael Flatley. Who got time to honor JFK when Michael Flatley’s Riverdancin’. The kid can straight move. My boy is like a beautiful angel that be floating ‘cross the stage making you feel like you breathin’ for the first time. That Celtic Tiger be takin’ you to heights you ain’t never been before wit’ his graceful steps. And if you don’t believe dat Michael Flatley is the Lord of the Dance, you gonna get served.

Number dos (close up). John Daly. Yo, this kid is like the Patron Saint of Irish Golfing, B. Bet you didn’t even know he was from Irish decent. Well, now you know and like my homies at G.I. Joe used to say, “that’s half the battle.”

Numero three (close up). Alicia Keys. Aw yea…you didn’t see that coming, did ya’? Her moms got some Irish in her so guess what? We gots Alicia Keys. Besides, Alicia Keys and Irish music go together like corned beef and cabbage. Mmm…I’m starvin’ now.

Number four (close up). Ronald McDonald. He’s as Irish as they come, boy. Dat name. Dat pale skin. Dat red hair. Yo, if he ain’t Irish, House of Pain isn’t the greatest Irish rap group of all time. And we all know dat ‘Jump Around’ was da bomb.

So there you have it. Yo, somebody best roll my graphic before ‘dey get pinched. Lil Mackey’s Top 4 Irish-Americans of All-Time, Son. So have a Happy St. Patrick’s Day.
